Choose Puff Count if
- you need an app today;
- social or friends features matter to you;
- its current checkout terms fit what you want.
Consider OffPuff's beta if
- you want a tracking-only tool rather than a social experience;
- a permanent basic free tier matters;
- watch, widget, Siri, export and pattern views are the planned features you care about;
- you are comfortable waiting for a product that is not built yet.
A note on pricing
The US App Store page shows several Puff Count Unlimited purchase entries, including more than one price. Apple does not label every entry's duration in the public list. This page therefore does not infer which unlabeled price is weekly or monthly. Confirm the renewal period and total on the in-app purchase screen.
OffPuff's $14.99 monthly and $49.99 yearly prices are planned and cannot be purchased today.
Bottom line
Puff Count is the practical choice if availability and social features matter now. OffPuff's planned difference is a calmer, tracking-only product with basic access that does not end with a trial. That is a product plan, not a claim about quitting outcomes.
