How we write our guides

Last updated: September 14, 2026

OffPuff publishes free guides about quitting vaping. This page explains how they are made, so you can judge them for yourself.

Who writes them

Every guide is reviewed and approved by OffPuff's founder before it is published, and published under the OffPuff name. The person approving each article is accountable for it afterward.

How they are made

Each guide is researched against primary public-health sources - for example smokefree.gov (run by the US National Cancer Institute), the Truth Initiative, and the US national quitline (1-800-QUIT-NOW). Drafts are prepared with AI assistance, then reviewed, edited, and approved by the founder before publishing. The sources each guide actually draws on are listed at the end of that guide.

What we don't publish

No medical claims. OffPuff is a habit tracker, not a medical device, advice, or treatment, and the guides follow the same rule. No invented statistics, no fake studies, no outcome promises. If a number can't be tied to a real source, it doesn't go in.

The product link

OffPuff is also a product - an app with planned paid pricing. The guides are free and stand alone: every one of them points to free, proven quitting support whether or not you ever try OffPuff.
